Sewage from our house will go by gravity through 4 inch diameter black plastic pipes into a “lateral” that goes from our property into the City sewer that passes down the center of 2nd Street. Rain water and irrigation water is collected separately. Of course, any construction activity which involves connecting to a sewer main, repairing an existing sewer lateral or capping an existing lateral requires a sewer permit.
